On Saturday, January 16, 2010 Kimberly had the pleasure of starting the next chapter of her existence by departing from this life and entering into eternal life. She departed this world as peaceful and curious about her new endeavor as she did when she entered it over 47 years ago. Kim was a true fighter with unparalleled character. She possessed a vibrant spirit, unwavering faith and an ability to befriend the most difficult personalities. Her magnetic smile and outgoing personality lead her to be loved by many. She was truly, One of a Kind!!
Kim was born on March 2, 1962 in Beaumont, Texas. She was a 1980 graduate of Hebert High School and a 1985 graduate of Lamar University. While at Lamar she was voted Homecoming Queen and graduated with honors earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Kim was employed by State Farm Insurance for approximately 21 years as a Senior Claims Representative and was a member of New Light Christian Center Church where she served in the Ministry of Kindness and the Tape Ministry. She was also a member of Jack and Jill of America (South Belt Houston Chapter) and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She leaves to cherish beautiful memories to her loving husband of 20 years, James “Mitch” Marcel; her children, Jailyn & Jarron; Stepson Bryse; parents, James and Carolyn Broussard; sisters, Keli and Kristi and a host of other loving friends & relatives
Visitation & Viewing will be Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 12:00 Noon to 12:55 P.M.
Funeral Services will begin promptly at 1:00 P.M.
